Saratoga County eatery Haru Japanese Steak House, located in Saratoga Springs at 15 Old Gick Road, opened Thursday, Oct. 19.
The site was previously home to a Golden Corral.
Under the direction of owner Tehen Yu, the restaurant offers a wide selection of Japanese fare, including sushi, teriyaki, and udon bowls.
There’s also a hibachi grill, where chefs prepare filet mignon, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients right in front of you.
Among the dishes to impress diners so far is the chicken negimaki appetizer, described in a Google review as “out of this world."
“Amazing service and food!” Joshua Sykes said on Google. “The wife had the ginger chicken and I had the general Tso’s and both were very tasty!”
Another reviewer described the ambiance as “enchanting,” hailing the eatery for its “exceptional” food and “outstanding” service.
“The sushi and sashimi were fresh and beautifully presented, while the hibachi-grilled dishes were prepared with precision,” Ravi Modasra said on Google. “A must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience.”
